World Paper Free Day am 4. November 2016

Am 4. November 2016 ist wieder ‪#‎WPFD‬ World Paper Free Day der AIIM http://bit.ly/WPFD_2016 Letztes Jahr war es etwas "ruhig" um diese Initiative geworden. Es geht um das "papierlose Büro", um die allgegenwärtige Digitalisierung.

2010 gab es zum ersten Mal den Versuch mit dem griffigen World Paper Free Day die Bekanntheit der ECM-Branche voran zubringen. 2011 und 2012 fand der #WPFD auf der DMS EXPO  - es gab Gadgets, Twitter-Jams, Vorträge und eigener Webseite zum Thema. Auch 2013 gab es zahlreiche virtuelle und Onsite-Veranstaltungen. 2014 wurde dann der World Paper Free Day durch die AIIM von Oktober auf November verlegt. Damals gab es noch richtige "Schlachten" auf Twitter und Facebook mit den Verbänden der US-amerikanischen Papier- und Druck-Industrie. Das lag damals aber mehr an der Aktion von Google denn an der Initiative der AIIM. Der World Paper Free Day findet 2016 nun zum 6ten Mal statt - mal sehen, ob dieses Jahr nach den Flauten der letzten Jahre mit dem #WPFD16 wieder mal etwas los ist und es der AIIM gelingt, die Initiative wiederzubeleben.

Mein Wahlspruch für alle Büros und "Papier-Heimwerker" dieses Jahr zum ‪#‎WPFD16‬:

WORLD PAPER FREE DAY 2016:
Do not use paper,
do not copy paper,
do not print paper,
do not fax paper
in your office on Nov. 4th!

Der 4. November ist der erste Tag auf dem Weg zum papierarmen Büro - denn "paperless" meint nicht unbedingt ganz "papierlos", sondern weniger Papier - less paper. Erster Schritt also nachdenken und Papier wo immer möglich aus den Büro-Prozessen entfernen.

Die Papierindustrie ist Gewinner der Digitalisierung?!

Die Papierindustrie ist Gewinner der Digitalisierung - bisher. Eine interessante Grafik im (Prämiumbereich des) Handelsblatt zeigt das Wachstum des Papierbedarfs in Deutschland. Vom papierlosen oder wenigstens papierarmen Büro sind wir noch weit entfernt.
